CutLab is a digital media production company and website that aims to cultivate new work in the emerging hybrid media of the digital age. An outpost on the digital frontier, a hot-house for the development of new hyrbid forms, CutLab is a site where experimentation is actively encouraged.

WHAT IS CUTLAB?

CutLab is a new media production company married to a content distribution website with the aim of cultivating new work in the emerging hybrid media of the digital age. CutLab will display and distribute a variety of extraordinary short films, docs, theater related videos, and other cinema hybrids that deserve to be seen.

WE ARE SEEKING INTERNS

CutLab occupies a ground floor office of the red brick building at 900 1st Street bldg in Los Angeles.

Each year, we like to work with a few new interns. If you would like this to be you, please send us a resume (noting your experience with film production, video editing programs, and web management) as well as a brief note of introduction a month or two in advance. Intern duties include critiquing and organizing submissions. Contributing to the website. Editing CutLab films. And a myriad of odd jobs, such as researching directors and their films, and going to the post office. Unfortunately, internships are unpaid, but we can offer school credit and subscriptions.
